About Crafts Frames & Things
Crafts Frames & Things has proudly served the Fayetteville, NC, area for over 50 years. Family owned and operated, the business was originally established in 1965 by Boots Woodyard (an accomplished painter) in a double car garage.
Initially used for classes and selling art supplies, the garage was soon outgrown, and the business moved to “The Little Yellow House” on Sycamore Dairy Road, operating under the name of Country Art Gallery. There, Boots expanded her product inventory to include decoupage and craft supplies, adding an assortment of crafting classes to her list of art classes.
In 1973, Bobby Woodyard joined his mother's business venture, incorporating the business as Crafts Frames & Things and moving “under the tower” at the Bordeaux Shopping Center.
Wilton Cake Decorating products were introduced at the new store location, as well as a selection of fabric and sewing machines, further expanding their arts and crafts inventory. Leasing additional retail space at this location still couldn't accommodate the booming business, so the Boots family broke ground on their current facility at 108 Owen Drive, bringing in a full line of HUSQVANRA VIKING sewing machines shortly after moving in.
